Madii Lii Territory

This map is from 2012 (link here). The Cheifs of the yellow territories signed a Declaration stating that the corrupt Gitxsan Treaty Society (GTS) did not represent them any more. This majority remains similar today. Yet, the GTS still claims to represent the entire Gitxsan nation to BC and Canada, including taking the liberty to sign pipeline deals on the Nation's behalf.  In the Gitxsan Matriarchal Hereditary System, the Wilp (House) Cheifs of the 64 territories are of equal power, and must come to consensus on shared concerns.
