Madii Lii CLOSED TO LNG pipeline development
"The chiefs of the Gitxsan house of Luutkudziiwus have declared their territory CLOSED TO LNG activity. Members have begun to build a cabin at the entrance to their territory in the Suskwa valley. TransCanada's PRGT gas pipeline is slated to go through 32 km of this territory. If this pipeline is built, it will end at a terminal on Lelu island in the Skeena Estuary, the operation of which may spell catastrophic collapse of the Skeena Salmon! Support and supplies are needed for the camp. Berry pickers are still welcome to and through the camp. Please contact email@example.com to provide support, or head out to 15 km on the Suskwa FSR to help build until Aug. 30."
